Multimedia Presentation Websites

Multimedia Presentation Websites

Students in the Multimedia Presentation classes are finishing up their creation of a website.  The students created a professional looking website that is easy to understand and navigate while using Wix.com. Wix uses the most up-to-date HTML5 technology that allows for quick, adjustable options of every aspect when creating a website. The goal was to make a website that included information, pictures and videos that is easy for the viewers to access. Students created websites for local bands, high school clubs/classes, beauty/fashion and personal photography/video work. Along side the desktop version, a mobile version was also created making it a breeze to navigate through the websites on a mobile device.

WHSVisual Arts assists the Hartshorne House

WHS Art student Nick Atwater recently repainted two signs for the Hartshorne House. Meri Eldridge, a member of the Hartshorne House Board of Directors, contacted the Visual Arts Department to find out if there was anyone available to help out. Nick Atwater, a senior who will attend Wentworth in the fall, was enlisted to refurbish the sign because of his skill and high level of craftsmanship.

The Colonel James Hartshorne House was built in 1681 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house has had a long and interesting history and is owned by the Town of Wakefield but managed by the Colonel James Hartshorne House Association and a Board of Directors who work to maintain and preserve the house. The sign Nick painted hangs out side of the house and will probably be back in place this week.
