This photo was taken by a group of photography students. The camera was set on a tripod on the bulb setting. With this setting, the shutter stays open as long as the shutter release button remains depressed. With the shutter open, a student using a flashlight spelled out “WHS”. The path of moving light was recorded allowing us to capture the stationary elements, the pumpkins and the library, while blurring the moving elements. The Visual Arts Department is very proud of our students who not only display their creative talents on a consistent basis but are also able to spell words backwards.
Both Graphic Design classes participated in a quick activity to learn some new tools in Photoshop by making themselves into zombies! One tutorial was provided to them and they could use the tools they have already learned plus Googled tutorials to further expand their knowledge of Photoshop.
The results are frighteningly awesome! Viewer beware, some of these are pretty ghastly!
