New mask display in the WHS lobby

New mask display in the WHS lobby

The permanent display cases in the lobby of the Wakefield High School, first installed in 1997, were given an upgrade recently with art created by Art 2 students to give the front lobby a fresh new look. The new collection of paper mache masks includes a wide variety of well known favorite characters including Olaf, Winnie the Pooh and a Minion to name a few, as well as faces made from imagination.

Happy New Year!

The last project of 2014 was a color study and Art 1’s first introduction to painting. The students picked a single color and based three colors schemes around it. They created a triptych painting which is a painting in three panels. One panel was monochromatic, another complementary and the last was analogous.

Nice job, Art 1!
