Art 1 Distorted Portraits

In Term 4, the Art 1 students selected a famous portrait, or a portrait of someone they knew. With the use of the grid technique, the medium choice of charcoal or pencil, they went ahead and distorted their portraits and integrated a solid value scale. These students have come such a long way with their work this year, and this is a great example of their improvement. Great work Art 1!

Reflective / Distorted Portraits

Illustration students worked on oversized drawing paper to create their own reflective / distorted portraits. ┬áStudents searched for a unique object that would reflect their image. Then with shading and a strong use of value they went ahead and illustrated their portraits. These have become great pieces to add to their portfolio’s.
