April 24, 2018 was a great night in Wakefield for the Visual Arts. At the Americal Civic Center, the Wakefield Visual Arts Department hosted a k-12 exhibit in the Drill Hall and the Arts Collaborative of Wakefield exhibited in the Heritage Room. Hundreds of people came out to view the artwork from artists age 5-65.

The Wakefield Public Schools Visual Arts Department hosted Visual Arts Night from 6:00-8:00 on Tuesday April 11 at the Americal Civic Center. This display showcased the artwork of Wakefield’s students in grades 1-12 with approximately seventy high school students demonstrating drawing, painting, working on the potter’s wheel, creating computer graphics, and 3-D Printing.

On April 15, 2015 the WHS Visual and Performing Art students presented their talents to grades 1-8 during Visual and Performing Arts Day. VPAD is an annual event when students from middle and elementary school get to see the many courses and activities waiting for them in high school. WHS students were pleased to show off their hard work, display their talent and entertain everyone with their creativity and originality.
VPAD reinforces the positive impact art has on your life and the world you live in.
Visual Arts Night is quickly approaching! Once again, we will be partnering with the Arts Collaborative of Wakefield to host two shows at the Americal Civic Center on Tuesday April 14 from 6-8 pm.
The school portion is in the Drill Hall and the ACW portion is in the Heritage Room. This display will feature work from artists 5-65 years old! Come down to the Civic Center and meet the artists.
WPSVisual Arts is excited to display the awesome work our students have created this year and to have high school students demonstrating techniques in graphic design, illustration, television production, photography and ceramics. We hope to see you there!
